John Loos

John became a legend in the field of training and corporate storytelling through his work at Second City Works, which uses humor and improv to train employees at Fortune 500 companies. There he learned the art of agility and became a Jedi Master for getting people engaged quickly. Today he’s enthralling FutureThink’s audiences with his improvisational approach to daily life and for strengthening communication and collaboration in even the most siloed of orgs. John’s humor and authenticity make him a fan favorite for organizations like Procter & Gamble, National Public Radio, and Verizon.

John’s background includes teaching sketch-comedy writing and improv, as well as creativity courses of all kinds. A fan of travel, he’s floated around the world on a cruise ship as a Second City entertainer. With life experiences that include being nominated for several Indie Series Awards and proposing to his husband near the rainbow bridge in Tokyo, any given week in John’s world looks like other people’s Bucket Lists.

When he isn’t helping FutureThink clients build their innovation chops, he’s crushing his personal best in CrossFit or any video game you’ve ever heard of. John received his BA in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He’s also a graduate of the iO Chicago and iO West theatres, has written four plays, directed countless sketch comedy shows, and is one half of the comedy duo “Pink Pony”. Residing in Los Angeles, John adores his comedian husband and their dog, who’s always in the mood for a trip to a big-box store.
